Banana Bread

1/4 Cup Butter 1 Tablespoon Baking Soda
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar 2 Eggs, Beaten
1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar 3 Ripe Bananas, Mashed
3 Cups Flour, Sifted 1 Cup Nuts, Optional
1/2 Teaspoon Salt

Cream butter and sugars, add beaten eggs. Sift flour, salt and baking soda together, add to creamed mixture alternately wiht bananas. Fold in nuts. Pour batter into a greased loaf pan. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 55-65 minutes. Cool in pan on wire rack for 10 minutes. Turn out of pan and finish cooling on wire rack.
