Aunt Margaret's Famous Easter Cookies

From the kitchen of Margaret Giedeman

2 3/4 Cups Flour 1 Cup Sugar
2 Teaspoon Baking Powder 2 Eggs
1/2 Teaspoon Salt 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1/2 Cup Shortening

Cream shortening (butter or margarine may be used instead) and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients. Chill in covered container. Roll out onto floured surface. Cut into shapes. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375° for 7-9 minutes.
