Frosted Banana Bars

1/2 Cup Butter Or Margarine, Softened FROSTING
2 Cup Granulated Sugar 1/2 Cup Butter Or Margarine, Softened
3 Eggs 4 Cups Confectioners Sugar
1-1/2 Cups Mashed Ripe Bananas, (About 3 Medium) 2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract 4 Ounces Cream Cheese
2 Cups All Purpose Flour  
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda  
Pinch Salt  

In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, bananas, and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt, add to creamed mixture and mix well.

Pour into a greased 15"x10"x1" baking pan. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until bars test done. Cool.

For Frosting: Cream butter and cream cheese in a mixing bowl. Gradually add confectioner's sugar and vanilla; beat well. Spread over cooled bars.

(optional baking pans: two 8x8 or 9x9 pans, bake 30-35 minutes.)
